Spinning SpiderOak a new “web”site

We made a website but there’s more to it than just that.

If you haven’t heard of SpiderOak then you’re probably not a privacy and security aficionado. But you shouldn’t have to be one to get all the privacy and security you could ever need. So we worked with SpiderOak on broadening their user base, starting with a better website.

What did we need this new web design to accomplish?

  • Look leading-edge and entirely trustworthy

  • Explain what they do quickly and simply

  • Direct users to the right product quickly

  • And, of course, sell more software

How did we pull it off?

The homepage first established the need for their products by including a dynamic feed of breaches. Then we direct users to a site for commercial clients or a separate site that served government customers.

Impressive yet approachable.

Leading edge technology for the most highly sensitive applications in the world can seem intimidating. Yet SpiderOak’s software is easy to use and useful to just about any institution. So the content and design needed to express superiority and accessibility at the same time. Here is the result.
