Video marketing and SEO make the perfect combo.

Doctors are some of the most trusted professionals in the world. Yet they face fierce competition from their patients’ own haphazard research and an entire world wide web ready to fill their customers' minds with flaming hot garbage. To help people avoid a trip to the mental burn ward, some doctors are publishing their own content. Some of them are the clients we’re about to talk about right now.

TL;DR:

Our video strategy took these doctors’ YouTube views from the dozens to the millions in just a few months. At the same time, this strategy contributed to an increase in organic search engine traffic.

Daily views went from single digits to the thousands for these clients.

Any success in the digital world is dependent on you becoming an obedient servant of an algorithm. Get that right, and you can get views on YouTube, Google, or both, since they are deeply integrated. We’ve worked with Austin Urology Institute and Austin Urogynecology (and its sister-practice Austin Labiaplasty & Vaginal Rejuvenation) for years, so we had the advantage of our own long running and successful website SEO strategies.

These websites had pages and blogs that garnered thousands of views each month from people all over the world. So we prioritized the production of videos relevant to those blogs that already had traffic, since we already had the audience.

Embedding videos in the top landing pages of these websites had an immediate impact on the clients’ YouTube view rates. Posting to YouTube doesn’t get you any views if you have no subscribers. As the views through the site embeds ticked up, YouTube started recommending the videos to more and more people.

What’s the value of production value?

Video is traditionally expensive to shoot. You need good lighting, sound, and camera equipment, and professionals who know how to use all that. There is a time and a place for a well produced video. There is also a certain authenticity to a video clearly shot on a phone without too much preparation.

So in order to produce a greater quantity of videos with a relatively small budget, we coached the clients on how to self-shoot their footage. We then edit it, clean up the sound, add music, maybe an intro, and publish it with all the keyword-filled descriptions, tags, etc… Still a lot of work but now we could do like three or four videos for the price of a single, really snazzy one.

Now, a word from Austin Urogynecology…

Here’s a quote the client left on our Google review:

“I have nothing but great things to say about 8AM Creative. If you want a company that will elevate your web presence then look no further. The staff have worked endlessly to help maximize SEO for our company and are constantly keeping up to date with the trends and know how to keep our content relative. Regardless of the size of your company, 8AM always makes you feel like a priority. Their quick response to any question or concern provides reassurance that they're never asleep on the job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to refresh or even overhaul their current marketing strategies. Regardless of the type of business you have, I can guarantee 8AM won't disappoint.”

How can you replicate this video content marketing success?

That answer is not so straightforward. It depends on where your digital presence is now, where you want it to be, and what resources you have to get there. But we can help you make that determination. Just get in touch.
